Help for the DIY

Do you need a fence but cannot afford to have it installed? Then consider installing it yourself. Most people with a little determination can install almost any type of fencing. And, depending on your skill level, a DIY fence can be every bit as good as a professional installation.

And we are here to help. We have DIY helper pages for wood, chain link, vinyl, ornamental iron and rail fencing. On those pages you will find fence descriptions and pictures of different types of fence parts. Each page also has a material calculator to help you part out your fence. We also have links to videos where you can see professional installations.

Or, you can always call us or send us an email and we will part out your fence for you. There is no need to go to a big box store and push an orange cart around looking for fence parts. We will part out your fence for you and then load your vehicle as well. We guarantee to have the lowest prices on complete fence packages of comparable quality.

Installing your own fence can actually be a very rewarding experience. Not only will you save money but you can put it in on your time frame. Because we do such quality installs we can get very busy during the summer months. When you do it yourself you decide when the fence will be installed.

For any fence installation safety should be your primary concern. Remember to call U-Dig before digging any post holes. They will come out and mark any public utilities. Their service is free and could possibly prevent an injury or death. And you need to mark the locations of all private utilities before you dig. If you have an underground sprinkler system then mark those lines as well to avoid costly repairs.

We offer high quality supplies for many types of fences. You can go to our products or gallery pages to help you decide what type of fence interests you. Then select any picture to be taken to the DIY helper page for that style of fence.
